Folk culture in the assessments of Russian student youth

Information technologies have changed all spheres of human life. This fact has given particular importance to the context understanding problems globalization in modern world. Having superimposed on systemic transformations Russian society, they corrected traditions, changing value priorities. Acting as a key agent social transformations, acutely feeling, accepting and subsequently imple-menting innovations, student youth, having mastered new broad-casting them accumulates experience both previous generations contemporaries. The data survey 9751 students higher education institu-tions Federation, who are citizens Federation ana-lyzed article. All Federal districts represented general population respondents. obtained allow us conclude that folk culture is largely preserved transmitted by older generation. Although young people, for most part, realize whole, rank its elements according degree their compliance with needs modernity. Two groups approximately equal size were distinguished. first group «iden-tification». It shares position if person feels he belongs certain ethnic interested preserving or she must know well. second stands «cultural diversity», which means should his her well, but it also important navigate cultural heritage other peoples. Based results study, conclusion about need constant intergenerational dialogue preservation, transmission reproduction culture, fundamental basis national mentality stability society made.
